ABOUT ME
I am a Nottingham based drummer and teacher and have been playing drums since 1995. With both my father and cousin being drummers I was introduced at a very early age, and realised I had a huge passion for playing drums, and the love of music. Over the last 25 years, I have had the pleasure of traveling around the UK and Europe, playing in a wide variety of different bands, from cover bands, to experimental metal bands, and then went on to study Music Performance and Music business at college. I went on to study further and gain a distinction in Grade 8 Drums and RSL Dip in Musical Performance and ATCL in instrumental and vocal teaching.
I am extremely passionate about music education, and have been teaching the drums for all ages and abilities. I have helped students achieve graded examinations, and also helped students get into higher education institutions. I teach drums both as privately and also do groupwork lessons. I assist students through their graded examinations for both Trinity and RSL exam boards from Grade 1-8 as well as helping students to work professionally as drummers and provide support to gain experience in a band setting. I am extremely passionate about education and thrive on seeing my students gain their full potential.
I have had the pleasure of studying with drummers such as: Craig Blundell, Gavin Harrison and Thomas Lang. Having this knowledge given to me is something I want to pass on to my students.

I hold a Grade 8 distinction in drums and also hold a DIP RSL Diploma in musical performance and a level 4 instrumental teaching degree.

Lessons are held in my dedicated studio at 3 Robinson Road, Mapperley or available online.

I hold a full DBS check and have a safety child guarding certificate.
​
I teach all of the graded syllabus for drums (RSL and Trinity) if this is what you require.

I have experience in teaching all ages and abilities. The main thing for me is that your lessons are fun and engaging. You are more that welcome to come down to see the studio or have a discussion (in person or via video call) to discuss your lesson requirements.
